Posting classified ads can net good results. What most people do not realize is the traffic and results they can get when posting to classified ad websites. They think that if they post to a classidied ad site, people hopefully will come along and find their ad at the classified ad site, read it, and they will make a sale or get a sign up for whatever it is they are promoting. If you think that you are partially correct, because that is the way classified ad sites work. People post free and paid ads and when someone visits the classified ad site, they just view the ad they posted. However, there is more to it than just that.

Classified ad websites, just like any other website, consist of popular ones and some not so popular. For example, craigslist.org is a very popular classified ad website online. When you post to craigslist, it is very possible your ad will at some point get spidered by the search engines. If your ad is spidered by the search engines, it will be listed deemed upon the keywords and URL you placed in the ad. By placing as much information with targeted keywords with our classified ad, we stand a much higher percentage of receiving results. You should place as much info as you possibly can in the classified ad. More info will perk more interest from the reader and because you placed as much info as possible, using good keywords, your classified ad could be in various top listed positions in the search engines.

Taking the time out to write up a good classified ad and save it to a document on your computer, will save you a lot of time. You can easily post to various classified ad websites and you will already have your target keyword ad saved. Most people do not post to classified ad websites or only post to one once in a blue moon, simply because they don't want to spend the time it takes to create an ad. Creating your ad first, saving it, frees up a tremendous amount of time.

A major secret to classified advertising is contacting those people that post to classified ad websites. You may be totally shocked to see the results you will get. I must tell you, it really is going to depend a lot on what you are advertising and who you are targeting.

After creating your ad, create an exceptional signature line. Be sure to use a good email account. I strongly suggest a good free web based email account such as gmail. If you use hotmail, you are wasting a lot of your time because hotmail blocks an enormous amount of email and that means you may never receive a reply from the people you send to that are replying to you. Make sure you use your real name, email address and telephone number in your signature.

After you have your signature line set up, you are ready to visit the classified ad websites. Search the classified ad categories that pertain to whatever it is you are selling. Lets say you are promoting your referral web page. You would search the classified ads that are related to business. Try to target as close as you can to what you are promoting. Look for classified ads in which the poster has included his/her email address. Do NOT spam these people! You go to your email account, compose a message to that poster, that simply says "More Info Please." That is it. That is all you say.

The poster will receive your message and guess what? The poster will see your signature line. Signature lines are not spam. All you are doing is asking for more info.

People that post to classified ad websites are usually looking for a way to make income, especially in the business categories. By creating an excellent signature line, you could with little effort, achieve sign ups/sales.

Posting a classified ad is one thing. You sit and hope that someone will see it, read it, and buy. Posting an excellent classified ad targeted with exceptional keywords and links, is another thing altogether and can net you great results. Remember, do not spam! Some people may reply with a message giving you all the details about their offer. Now the ice is broken! You can then reply back edging your way into a relationship. Look at this example:

Subject Line: More Info Please

Body: I saw your classified ad and would like more info please.

Reply:
Yes, the program I am promoting is . . . . Your Reply:
Thank you for your speedy reply. May I be so bold to ask how that is going for you? I work a program that has been on line for over 6 years and it's going great for me.

That is it you don't need to even state the name of what you are promoting. After all, it's in your signature line. The link in your signature line should be a short redirect. You may be surprised to find that some people will reply to you immediately asking you for more info about the site they viewed in your signature line. Some may take you up on the offer they see in your signature line without even contacting you.

Here is another Big Key Secret. Do you really want to spend time promoting something that is here today gone tomorrow program? People that do that, waste a lot of their time not to mention wasting a lot of their money. When you work a long running legitimate program, you never lose unless you drop out. Everything that you do will pay off for you because the program will be around many years. So if you contact classified ad posters, why would you link to a cheap paid to surf or some type of offer that won't be around for years? When you place a signature line, make sure it includes something very worthy and that you can count on being around a very long time.
